The team at Sage Interior Design Studio in collaboration with Emma Castellano Interiors created a project that embodies a vision of elevated yet approachable design, redefining the standard display home.

Blending luxury with practicality, the home’s carefully curated interiors feature dark accents, quality finishes, and a mix of metals that harmonise beautifully with the architectural elements. From the knurled textures in the kitchen to bespoke lighting and artful décor, every detail reflects a celebration of thoughtful design, resulting in a space that feels both timeless and inviting.

Far from an average display home, this project showcases the transformative power of design in creating a space that balances elegance with an undeniable sense of warmth and hominess.

The inspiration behind Bella Vista was to create a home that felt both elevated and approachable. Moving away from the stiffness and overly styled nature of typical display homes, the vision was to craft a space that clients could easily see themselves living in. The design emphasises a perfect blend of understated luxury and high-quality finishes, offering a sense of refinement while maintaining warmth and relatability.

It was important to select good quality hardware with an elevated finish. Something with the right amount of detail that felt more special than a standard home. 

The cabinet handles were chosen in a living Dark Roman Brass finish to complement the dark joinery, tying the accents together while subtly enhancing the kitchen’s design without overpowering it.

Dark accents were used throughout the home to create a cohesive connection between elements like the windows, appliances, and steel doors. A mix of metals was incorporated, requiring a unifying detail to seamlessly tie the design together.

Space The kitchen is a top contender with the unique stone that features dark accents tying in with other joinery used throughout the home. Décor Item The lighting features throughout the home from Light Co and Soktas also the vessels from The Foundry.
